Aberdeen signed Mitchy Ntelo from Yverdon‑Sport for an undisclosed fee, with manager Stephen Robinson calling the 25‑year‑old Belgian forward’s "versatility one of the biggest attractions." The player, who can operate centrally or wide, has agreed a two‑year deal with an option for a further year.

Ntelo has amassed nearly 150 club appearances and 30 goals, including six in six starts on loan at Botev Vratsa. He is tall, exceptionally quick and comfortable as a central striker or out wide, giving Aberdeen an extra dimension.

His career began at hometown club Standard Liege, followed by loan spells at Dutch side MVV Maastricht, then moves to Charleroi and Bulgaria’s Lokomotiv Plovdiv before joining Yverdon‑Sport two years ago. “This is a big step for me… I know this club is one of the biggest teams in the league,” he said.

Robinson praised Ntelo’s ability to provide genuine competition at centre‑forward while also delivering impact from the flanks. The signing adds depth and versatility to Aberdeen’s attack as they look to challenge for domestic honours.
