The centre‑back had boycotted the Spain national team for nearly three years over working‑condition disputes with the federation. She missed the 2023 World Cup, Euro 2025, but returned in October 2025, starting the Nations League final as Spain beat Germany 3‑0.

London City Lionesses, backed by billionaire Michele Kang, finished sixth in their debut WSL season and aim for European qualification.
