Elliot Anderson has completed a £116m move to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest, signing a five-year contract. The midfielder declared City the "kings of Manchester" and is eager to contribute to their trophy-winning ambitions. Anderson, who was also a target for Manchester United, expressed his excitement about playing in the Manchester derby on September 13.

Anderson, 23, joins City after two years at Forest, where he made 92 appearances. He previously played for Newcastle and had a loan spell at Bristol Rovers. He earned his first England call-up last season and is considered a key player for manager Thomas Tuchel.

He cited Manchester City's winning mentality and dominance over the past decade as reasons for his transfer. Anderson also revealed his admiration for former City star Kevin De Bruyne, whom he idolized growing up. Director of football Hugo Viana praised Anderson as an "outstanding young midfield talent."
