Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is set for a Manchester City medical on Sunday after the clubs agreed a £20m transfer. The 25-year-old England defender has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions, who moved quickly following injuries to key defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias.

Guehi, a Chelsea academy product, has been a Palace stalwart since joining from Swansea in 2020, making 188 appearances and leading the South London club to FA Cup glory last season. His departure is a significant blow to Palace, with manager Oliver Glasner announcing he will leave at the season's end.

The move completes a remarkable turnaround for Guehi, who was close to joining Liverpool last summer. City's spending continues, having already secured Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth for £62.5m.
