Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has signed an improved contract with the club, securing his future after a dramatic first full season in north London. The 23-year-old Czech endured a nightmare Champions League night against Atletico Madrid, substituted just 17 minutes in after costly errors in a 5-2 defeat.

His season transformed under Roberto de Zerbi, playing every minute of Spurs' final seven Premier League matches as they preserved their top-flight status. De Zerbi praised Kinsky's professionalism and performances during that crucial run-in, backing him as a future European elite keeper. Peter Schmeichel previously condemned interim manager Igor Tudor's decision to hook Kinsky early in Madrid.

Spurs invested approximately £12.5m to bring Kinsky from Slavia Prague in January 2025, originally on terms until 2031. With Guglielmo Vicario potentially heading to Inter Milan, Kinsky now has a clear path to establish himself as Tottenham's undisputed number one for the upcoming campaign.

The contract extension represents both reward for his relegation-saving contributions and a statement of intent from the club about their goalkeeper succession planning.
