Jurrien Timber has left Arsenal's training camp in Spain to return to London due to a groin issue. This problem caused him to miss the end of last season and the World Cup.

Timber previously missed two months with an ankle injury but returned for the Champions League final. The groin concern then sidelined him again. Despite returning to London, sources state this is part of his rehabilitation and not a setback, with his return to Spain expected.

Timber, Arsenal's primary right-back, played 30 Premier League games in their title-winning season. He joined for an initial £34m from Ajax in July 2023 but had a difficult first season after an ACL tear. Arsenal's next matches are against Manchester City on August 16 and Coventry City on August 21.
