Free agent Jadon Sancho is believed to prefer a move abroad after his Manchester United contract expired. The 26‑year‑old winger is assessing his options six weeks after leaving the club. Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho has made 158 appearances over two spells, are among interested clubs. He cost United £73m when he joined from Dortmund in 2021, and remains open to all options but favours leaving England.

Sancho spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, making 39 appearances as Unai Emery's side achieved Champions League qualification and Europa League success, including a late‑substitute win over Freiburg in a European final. He then went on loan to Chelsea for the 2024‑25 season, making 41 appearances. That deal included an obligation to buy, but the west London club paid a £5m penalty to send him back to Manchester United.

Sancho has trained at non‑league Flixton to maintain fitness before the new season. His future remains uncertain as clubs weigh his experience and potential.
