Iraola leads Palace's manager chase as Glasner departs

Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth's departing manager, tops Crystal Palace's shortlist to replace Oliver Glasner after the Austrian guided the Eagles to their first European final. Glasner confirmed his exit this month, leaving Selhurst Park in search of a successor. Sources say Palace view Iraola as their preferred candidate, having already flagged interest. The club hopes the appointment will stabilise their campaign ahead of the summer transfer window.

Palace have also surveyed a pool that includes Frank Lampard, Kieran McKenna, Thomas Frank, Sean Dyche, Marco Silva and Pierre Sage. Iraola, who announced his Bournemouth exit for summer, remains open to staying in the Premier League and has reportedly had preliminary talks with Selhurst Park. The club aims to secure a manager before the Europa Conference League final on 27 May.

With Palace set to face Rayo Vallecano for a Europa Conference League ticket, the prospect of guiding the Eagles into next season's Europa League could sweeten Iraola's appeal. Chelsea and Newcastle have also been mentioned as alternatives, but Selhurst Park appears confident it can land an experienced coach. Iraola’s appointment would give Palace a stable hand for summer recruitment.
