Thomas Frank has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Pierre Sage at Crystal Palace if the Eagles sack the manager following a seventh league defeat this season. Palace are also monitoring Frank Lampard, Sean Dyche, Vitor Pereira, Kim Hellberg, Vitor Matos, and Tony Popovic. Frank enjoyed seven successful years at Brentford before a short, unsuccessful spell at Tottenham last season.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher expects Palace to sack Sage, stating the club cannot risk relegation with their Premier League status on the line. Sage defended his side's performance after a 3-1 loss to Liverpool, citing inefficiency in front of goal.
