FPL 2026-27 Changes: Bonus Points, Pricing Updates

Following major bonus-point system changes for 2025-26, Fantasy Premier League introduces further tweaks for 2026-27. Players will no longer be penalized for being tackled, benefiting attacking midfielders like Morgan Rogers, Antoine Semenyo, and Jeremy Doku. Full-backs including Djed Spence and Nico O'Reilly also gain from this adjustment.

The CBI threshold for BPS points increases from two to three, reducing defensive contribution opportunities for defenders. Goalkeeper save metrics change: all saves now earn two BPS points, removing the outside-area distinction. However, goalkeepers gain an extra point for denying 'big chances'.

Penalty save points decrease from eight to seven, but the big chance addition offsets this effectively. Bonus point finalization moves to 09:00 UK time the morning after matches, allowing Opta better data review. Erling Haaland becomes the most expensive player at £15.5m, while Bruno Fernandes jumps from £9m to £12m after his 21-assist season. Gabriel rises to £8m, tying as the most expensive defender in two decades. Eleven players receive position changes, including four moving from defense to midfield.
