Europa League Final Tickets: Villa and Freiburg Allocations Explained

Aston Villa moved quickly to get tickets on sale for the 2026 Europa League final against Freiburg, with the entire process wrapping up by Wednesday. Yet most Villans will walk away empty-handed — the club received an allocation of just 10,758 seats, including disabled and easy-access areas plus some with restricted views. That figure represents less than a quarter of Villa Park's 42,640 capacity.

Villa implemented a tiered priority system given the overwhelming demand. Season ticket holders who attended at least 12 Europa League matches — Villa played 14 in total — received first dibs. A second priority window opened for fans with eight or more European games, guaranteeing them a ticket if they purchased by Tuesday. A third window uses a ballot system for supporters with seven Europa League appearances, closing Wednesday at 17:00 BST.

Freiburg will receive the same 10,758-ticket allocation as Villa. Beyond both clubs' shares, 5,500 tickets will go on general sale, while the remaining 10,000 are reserved for UEFA's local organizing structure, member national associations, commercial partners, broadcasters, and the wider "UEFA football family." With capacity tight and demand high, the vast majority of fans from both sides will need to watch from home.
