Motherwell have sold midfielder Elliot Watt to Turkish Super Lig club Samsunspor for an undisclosed fee after 12 months that have changed my career and life. The 26-year-old Scot has signed a four-year contract with the side who finished seventh of the 18-club top flight.

Preston-born Watt joined Motherwell last summer after leaving Burton Albion, and went on to play 42 games in a season that ended with a creditable fourth place in the Scottish Premiership and reaching the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals.

Scotland Under-21 cap Watt told Motherwell's website: "I would like to take this chance to thank everyone connected to the club for the last 12 months - 12 months that have changed my career and life."
