Dundee's Graham Earns Premier League Praise from Pressley

Dundee manager Steven Pressley has backed defender Luke Graham to play in the Premier League and earn Scotland caps after an impressive season at Dens Park. The 22-year-old centre-back has reportedly attracted interest from Rangers and Celtic, with the Scottish Premiership club rejecting a club-record offer for him in January.

Pressley compared Graham favorably to former Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, whom he worked with at Carlisle. "Some of his performances have been incredible over the last two or three months," Pressley said. "He's playing at such a high standard." Graham, a left-footed Scotland under-21 international, has started 25 of Dundee's 26 league matches this season and ranks among the top defenders in the Premiership for duels won, clearances, and blocks.

The academy product's defensive statistics are particularly impressive - he wins 66% of his duels, placing him third in the league for this metric. Pressley believes Graham's current form merits consideration for Scotland's World Cup squad, stating he would recommend the defender if national team manager Steve Clarke called for his opinion. "His performances against the likes of Rangers and Celtic have been again at such a high level that he should be a consideration."
