Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin is in hospital after falling ill on Thursday, leaving assistant Lee Sharp to prepare the team for Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash at Kilmarnock. Goodwin was admitted for observation, but Sharp confirmed he is in good spirits after speaking with him on Thursday night and Friday morning. Sharp led training at the club's St Andrews base and handled pre-match media duties, saying, "I don't really know much to be honest, I just asked him how he was and he just said they took him in yesterday and he felt unwell and they are keeping him in for observation." Dundee United have one point from three league games, while Kilmarnock have yet to register a point after two matches.

Sharp remains unsure whether Goodwin will be in the dugout at Rugby Park, adding, "I will catch up with him later on today and see what happens, it is no more than that really, I really don't know.".
