Czech football coach Petr Vlachovsky faces calls for a global lifetime ban after being convicted of secretly filming women players in changing rooms and showers. The 52-year-old received a suspended one-year prison sentence and five-year coaching ban in the Czech Republic for recording 14 players over four years while coaching at 1. FC Slovacko.

Vlachovsky, once voted the best women's coach in the Czech Republic, was arrested in September 2023 after police discovered covertly filmed footage online. He also possessed child sexual abuse material. Players learned about the recordings only after his arrest, when they discovered Vlachovsky had hidden a camera in his backpack, with the youngest victim aged 17.

The global players' union Fifpro is demanding a lifetime football ban and exploring legal avenues for a global prohibition. The victims were denied the opportunity to attend public trial or appeal what they view as an extremely lenient sentence. This case follows a similar incident in Austria where a former official received a suspended sentence and €1,200 fine for filming women's team members in changing rooms.
