Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has rejected a new contract, despite growing interest from Premier League giants. The Cherries made it a summer priority to secure fresh terms, but no agreement has been reached.

Bournemouth, valuing the 22‑year‑old at £80m, has been clear it is not for sale. The player, who joined from Bristol City in 2023 for £25m, has two years left on his current deal. The club has publicly insisted he will stay on the south coast, even if the offer sits on the table for months.

The club remains unhurried after qualifying for the Europa League and generating significant income through summer sales of Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dango Outtara. Similar stances apply to forward Junior Kroupi, attracting Arsenal and Tottenham, and Brazil international Rayan, who joined in January.

With no pressure to sell, Bournemouth is confident the contract rejection will not destabilise the squad. Interest from clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea continues, but the club’s position is firm.
