Aberdeen have secured Lewis Smith from Livingston for an undisclosed fee, according to manager Stephen Robinson. He noted that he had tried to sign lubrication earlier but lacked the finances. Smith, who has 81 appearances and 12 goals for Livingston, was flagged by Aberdeen’s recruitment team as one of the top wide players in the Premiership last season.

Robinson praised Smith’s consistency and attacking threat, highlighting his ability to score from the wing and his confidence with both feet. Smith, a former Accies youth product, signed a two‑year contract with Livingston in 2024, which was extended until summer 2027. Livingston’s sporting director David Martindale said the sale confirms their successful player‑trading model.

Smith will bring energy and goal‑scoring ability to Aberdeen’s flank. He expressed excitement about joining Pittodrie, saying he has “a lot more to give.” The move coincides with Aberdeen’s sale of striker Marko Lazetic to Armenian side Noah.
