Derby County has secured the signing of attacking midfielder Filip Bilbija on a three-year contract. Bilbija joins the Rams after departing German club Paderborn, who recently achieved promotion to the Bundesliga.

The 26-year-old was instrumental in Paderborn's ascent, notably scoring the crucial equalizer in the second leg of their play-off final against Wolfsburg. This goal forced the match into extra time, ultimately leading to Paderborn's promotion.

Last season marked Bilbija's most productive, with 17 goals across all competitions. This surpassed his previous campaigns, where he scored nine goals in each season. He has already joined his new teammates in Austria for their pre-season preparations.
