NFL Roster Moves & Draft Prep
The Atlanta Falcons acquired safety Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in a mid-week transaction that involved both teams exchanging their fourth- and sixth-round draft selections ahead of the main event. Separately, the Minnesota Vikings bolstered their offensive line depth by signing tackle Ryan Van Demark to a one-year contract, addressing immediate needs as the league prepares for the influx of new talent. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers opted against exercising the option bonus for veteran left tackle Trent Williams, though sources indicate the organization remains engaged in discussions aiming to finalize a new long-term agreement.
As league activity ramps up, the host city of Pittsburgh Public Schools announced plans to shift all classes to remote learning for three days, specifically April 22 through April 24, to facilitate the massive logistical requirements associated with staging the upcoming NFL Draft downtown.
