The Atlanta Falcons acquired safety Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade involving draft picks. The Falcons sent the No. 114 and No. 197 picks to the Eagles in exchange for Brown, the No. 122 and No. 215 selections. Brown, a 25-year-old third-round pick from 2023, has started nine games over three seasons for Philadelphia and has two career interceptions. This move addresses a critical need for Atlanta, which struggled with safety depth in 2025.

The Falcons also lost nickel corner Dee Alford to the Bills and are waiting on rookie Billy Bowman's recovery from a torn Achilles. Brown's versatility could see him play nickel coverage as well.
