Hadjar Out of Dutch GP After Wrist Injury

Isack Hadjar will miss the Dutch Grand Prix after sustaining a wrist injury during a gym session last week, according to Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer. The situation developed quickly, with Yuki Tsunoda called up from Greece to replace Hadjar, while Liam Lawson received another opportunity at Red Bull following his demotion after the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix.

Hadjar, who claimed his maiden F1 podium at Zandvoort last year, made an appearance at the paddock on Friday morning despite the setback. Both Red Bull and seven-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez advised Hadjar to prioritize recovery over rushing back. Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies emphasized that they take zero risks with the promising youngster, stating, "We have no reason to take any risk with him. He has done a fantastic start of the season."

Marquez, who shares the same physiotherapist as Hadjar—Carlos J. Garcia—urged the French driver not to rush medical procedures, given his long career ahead. Despite his history of quick returns from injury, Marquez recommended a more cautious approach.

Red Bull confirmed to Autosport that their target is to have Hadjar back in the car for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on the weekend of 4-6 September, though they noted it's too early for a definitive update.
