The Vistria Group, a middle-market private investment firm with $18 billion in assets under management focused on healthcare, knowledge & learning solutions, financial services, and housing, has appointed Jeff Hawkins as head of its portfolio resources group. Hawkins brings over two decades of experience in operational transformation and revenue growth across technology, healthcare, and professional services companies. He previously held senior leadership roles at TPG, AON, and Alix Partners, including serving as COO, president, and chief revenue officer across portfolio companies.

His track record includes interim chief revenue officer at a $1.3 billion healthcare services company later sold to United Health Group, CEO of a $70 million enterprise technology company that achieved a 6x return on exit, and leading a product and go-to-market transformation at a $300 million real-time operating systems company that achieved a 14x return on exit. Hawkins began his career as an intelligence collections officer in the US Air Force before joining the NSA, then building a career in management consulting, operating leadership, and private equity. He will partner with co-presidents David Schuppan and Phil Alphonse to help portfolio companies accelerate growth and create long-term value.

Jon Samuels will assume the role of senior partner, chief impact and policy officer, continuing to lead Vistria’s policy and impact investment strategy. Hawkins joins during a period of momentum for the firm, following the return of more than $1 billion to investors in 2025.
