While AI has rapidly evolved, deployment in real-world settings lags. Horizon 1000 targets this gap by embedding AI into daily clinical workflows to reduce administrative burdens and support decision-making.

AI tools could help clinicians navigate complex protocols and give patients more control over their care. OpenAI and the Gates Foundation will provide funding, technology, and technical expertise.
