The recall follows earlier concerns over lettuce linked to cyclospora.

The California-based supplier stopped sourcing from a farmer in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as a potential outbreak source. The CDC and FDA are investigating a 345‑case salmonella outbreak across 27 states, with 36 hospitalizations. Restaurants such as Chipotle Mexican Grill and Qdoba received the implicated jalapeños from Coast Citrus; both halted use, and the distributor recalled remaining product.

Taylor Farms reports no illnesses tied to the recalled items and emphasizes its safety review, including a suspension of iceberg lettuce sourcing from central Mexico after a cyclosporiasis link was reported by the FDA. The company continues to cooperate with regulatory agencies while monitoring the situation.
