Stryker's Global Headquarters in Portage closed Wednesday after a cyber attack disrupted the medical device giant's worldwide operations. The company confirmed the breach targeted its Microsoft suite technology, wiping phones and computers across facilities globally. Portage Public Safety reported the attack affected company systems, though Stryker stated it contained the situation.

A spokesperson said no ransomware or malware was detected, but the scope of impact remains under evaluation. The Portage facility posted warnings advising employees to stay off networks and avoid using work phones until systems restore. An automated message at the headquarters described a 'building emergency,' while the normally busy parking lot sat empty.

Stryker employs over 1,000 people in Kalamazoo and roughly 53,000 globally. The company emphasized it continues supporting customers and partners through the disruption. FOX 17 has reached out through multiple channels for additional comment on the ongoing situation.
