Despite a "takeover" around 10 months ago, Ruby Central has since lost 2 of 2 conferences and 2 of 3 major OSS projects, transferring Bundler and Ruby Gems to Matz. They also lost 9 of 10 contributors, including key operators and full-time developers.

The dispute remains unresolved, with Ruby Central threatening to sue the author for "hacking" and infringement over the name Bundler. Ruby Central allegedly seized control of projects maintained for over a decade. Despite an offer to settle, Ruby Central has only offered to withdraw their lawsuit threat if the author drops all claims, including those related to alleged unpaid wages and reputation attacks.

Ruby Central also reportedly filed an FBI report against the author, though evidence of harm was reportedly not provided. The organization has since faced financial difficulties and has not responded to recent settlement attempts, which included a request for public confirmation of no harm and reimbursement for legal fees.
