Porsche Penske Motorsport will run two 963 prototypes in historic Apple Computer livery at the IMSA WeatherTech round on May 3 at Laguna Seca. The wrap mirrors the 1980 Porsche 935 K3 that carried the Apple logo at Le Mans, linking the brand’s 75th anniversary with Apple’s 50‑year milestone. Both cars sport the multicolored spectrum scheme for the event.

Drivers Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will share the No. 6 entry, while Julien Andlauer partners Felipe Nasr in No. 7. The pair have already secured wins at Daytona and Sebring, sitting atop the GTP championship and manufacturers’ standings. Team principal Urs Kuratle notes Laguna Seca’s layout suits the 963’s hybrid architecture, a fact confirmed by a two‑day test earlier in April this season.

Customer outfit JDC‑Miller will field a third 963, and AO Racing will run a 911 GT3 R with a throwback “Sketchy” paint job, echoing the original Apple scheme. Support races feature five 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports, while the Carrera Cup heads to Miami later in the month. Porsche’s dual‑anniversary liveries turn a California weekend into a living museum of motorsport‑tech heritage and nostalgia.
