He also registered beverly.fraser.name after his daughter's birth. On 15 April 2026, Verisign proposed terminating the entire third-level '.name' domain hierarchy to simplify administration, which ICANN approved on 28 July 2026.

Despite domains being registered and paid for until 2040, Fraser's website, email, and IoT services tied to neil.fraser.name will vanish in February 2027. He criticizes Verisign's proposal as containing numerous lies, noting his original trust in Global Name Registry—which Verisign later acquired. The termination risks domain hijacking: if someone registers fraser.name, they could seize control of neil.fraser.name, hijack linked accounts, compromise authentication, and take over IoT devices.

Fraser is one of 22,000 affected individuals preparing legal action.
