The project, inspired by a 2022 ascent of the Yoshida Trail, captures the spiritual essence and cultural significance of Japan's most iconic mountain through carefully designed stamp collections that document both the physical and metaphysical aspects of the climb.

Each stamp tells a unique story - from the Mihara shop's boundary between heaven and earth phrase to the sunrise imagery at Hinode hut, where a kettle has been in continuous use since 1826. The collection includes stamps featuring traditional symbols like the Daikoku deity for prosperity, the dragon for protection, and the Amabie mermaid figure that gained popularity during the pandemic. Some stations offer multiple designs, with the newest huts approved by local prefecture offering both national flag imagery and traditional religious symbols.

The project serves as both a digital archive and artistic interpretation of the Fujisan climbing experience, preserving the mountain's rich heritage while making it accessible to people worldwide. By documenting these stamps, the creator has created a virtual pilgrimage that captures the essence of Japan's sacred peak, from the red torii gate at Irouzanso to the turtle warning against 'bullet climbing' at Horai hut.
