Minecraft: Java Edition's latest snapshot switches window management, input, and platform integration from GLFW to SDL3. The change brings native Wayland support on Linux, borderless fullscreen as default, and physical key bindings via SDL scancodes. Known issues include exclusive fullscreen crashes on Windows and Wayland.

New data components add custom furnace fuels (cooking_fuel, brewing_fuel), sign text components, waxed blocks, cushion colors, villager food, and mob visibility. Creative inventory reorders mineral items. Spectator mode players can now interact with portals.

Technical updates include Data Pack version 111.0 and Resource Pack version 92.0. Loot tables, predicates, and recipes now support registry element and tag references. Environment attributes define natural mob spawns and creature world-gen spawn probability. Sign click events no longer auto-execute.

Debug overlay gains separate GUI scale (F3+F6), player speed display, and refresh rate. Minimum window size set to 320x240. macOS loses exclusive fullscreen support but gains native accent popup.
