In August, Ladybird browser gained video playback on Twitch and more formats on YouTube, thanks to Media Source Extensions support for fragmented MP4 and codecs like AVC, HEVC, and AAC. This enables adaptive-bitrate video on many sites. We also fixed playback bugs, including crashes on YouTube previews and hangs with preload="none".

CSS scroll snap landed, supporting scroll-snap-type, align, and stop, with snapping for wheel, keyboard, and touchpad inputs. JavaScript debugging in Dev Tools now allows setting breakpoints, stepping through code, and evaluating watch expressions, built on new engine support. Downloads can now pause, resume, and survive browser restarts where servers allow, with parallel connections improved.

Session restore now brings back full history, including back/forward state, across restarts. Duplicate Tab copies history too. Browser UI improvements include mailto links opening your mail client, external URL schemes prompting for confirmation with protections, and alert/confirm/prompt dialogs as in-page overlays instead of modal system dialogs. Crash recovery no longer injects fake pages, keeping your real history entry.
