Apple has unveiled the new MacBook Air with M5, delivering enhanced performance and expanded AI capabilities to the world's most popular laptop. The M5 chip features a faster 10-core CPU and next-generation GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core, enabling the MacBook Air to handle demanding workflows from creative projects to complex AI tasks.

Storage has doubled to 512GB standard, with configurations up to 4TB for the first time, paired with a new SSD that delivers 2x faster read/write performance. The M5 also brings Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity through Apple's N1 wireless chip. For AI workloads, the M5 delivers up to 4x faster performance than the M4 model and up to 9.5x faster than the M1 version.

The new MacBook Air maintains its iconic thin, light, and durable aluminum design in 13- and 15-inch models, available in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver. It features a stunning Liquid Retina display, 12MP Center Stage camera, up to 18 hours of battery life, and an immersive sound system with Spatial Audio. The laptop is available for pre-order starting March 4, with availability beginning March 11.
