Lauren Coughlin made LPGA Tour history by becoming the first player to open a round with nine consecutive birdies at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She carded a front-nine 26 at Pinnacle Country Club, the lowest nine-hole total ever on the circuit. Coughlin’s streak ended with a par on the 10th, and she finished her second round with a 10-under 61, including six consecutive pars after the birdie run.

She finished eight shots behind leader Yuna Nishimura, who carded a second straight 63 to move to 16 under and take a five-shot lead. English trio Charley Hull, Lottie Woad, and Jodi Ewart Shadoff sit six shots off the lead at 10 under, sharing fifth place. Hull carded a bogey-free 67, while Woad and Ewart Shadoff each shot 66.

Former AIG Women's Open champion Miyu Yamashita is at nine under with Julia Lopez Ramirez. Mimi Rhodes and Leona Maguire missed the cut. The final round will be broadcast live on Sunday from 7pm on Sky Sports+.
