We attended the Chinese launch of the vivo X500 series in Shanghai, where vivo introduced three handsets: the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. The highlight is professional-grade video capture across all three, with top features reserved for the Pro and Pro Max.

The X500 Pro Max features a 6.85" LTPO AMOLED, Mediatek Dimensity 9600 Pro, 200MP telephoto, 8000mAh battery, and 90W wired charging. The X500 Pro is the smallest with a 6.36" display, 64MP telephoto, and 6510mAh battery. Both share a 50MP main camera with Sony Lytia L910 LOFIC sensor.

The X500 Pro and Pro Max debut Sony Lytia L910 LOFIC sensor for wide dynamic range. The X500 Pro has a 64MP telephoto with Lytia 610 sensor. Both run Android 17 with Origin OS 7 and promise up to 5 major OS updates.

Video capabilities include 8K@30fps, 4K@120fps, 10-bit Log, and Dolby Vision HDR. The X500 Pro Max also supports satellite connectivity on the Chinese 1TB 12GB RAM version.
