SP Industrial announced its new eMMC 5.1 Series, expanding its embedded storage portfolio with compact, reliable solutions for space-constrained and power-conscious industrial systems. By integrating NAND Flash and a controller into a single package, eMMC provides a space-efficient storage architecture suited for embedded systems requiring reliable, low-power operation and long-term storage. The series includes the EMC3R0N and EMC5R0N. The EMC3R0N is available in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB capacities using TLC NAND with up to 3,000 PE cycles. The 16 GB EMC5R0N uses pSLC technology to provide up to 30,000 PE cycles, offering enhanced endurance for intensive write workloads. Both feature a compact BGA153 package with sequential read/write speeds up to 250/200 MB/s and random read/write performance of up to 3,800/5,500 IOPS. The series supports SDR and DDR transfer modes at clock frequencies up to 200 MHz.

Built for reliable embedded operation, the SP Industrial eMMC 5.1 Series is JEDEC eMMC 5.1 compliant, featuring a built-in SMART function, an LDPC ECC engine, and built-in power-failure data protection. It supports Erase, Trim, and Sanitize commands, along with 3.3 V and 1.8 V dual-voltage power supplies and an operating temperature range of -25°C to 85°C. Suitable for credit card readers, payment terminals, POS systems, HMIs, industrial PCs, industrial controllers, industrial cameras, surveillance systems, IoT gateways, and edge computing devices, the series provides dependable local storage for operating systems, application software, configuration data, and system logs.
