ASUS today announced immediate Canadian retail availability of the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 series, the world's only quad-band Wi-Fi 8 router available in stores. The series is scheduled for worldwide release in October, with US launch details to follow. Also launching in October is the ASUS ZenWiFi BN12, a first-to-market Wi-Fi 8 Mesh system for high-capacity homes.

The ROG Rapture GT-BN98 series is built on the Wi-Fi 8 framework. ROG testing indicates performance gains with existing Wi-Fi 7 devices. Features like UEQM and NPCA improve stability and reduce interference as compatible devices arrive.

The series includes two models: GT-BN98 Pro (BN30000) and GT-BN98 (BN25000), with quad-band designs up to 30,000 Mbps. A 2.6 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, two 10 Gbps ports, and four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports support demanding workloads. A 16-antenna architecture and advanced thermal infrastructure ensure sustained performance.

The ASUS ZenWiFi BN12 is the world's first 12-stream tri-band Wi-Fi 8 Mesh system, available in October. It covers up to 7,000 square feet with 2x LDPC technology and dual 10 Gbps ports for wired backhaul.
