AMD has officially crossed a $1 trillion market capitalization, becoming the world's 16th most valuable company. This milestone follows a session high of $615.98 per share, a nearly 10% gain from Friday's close of $559.91. The surge reflects strong demand for AMD's EPYC server CPUs, including the 2 nm "Venice" chip, and growing adoption of Instinct MI accelerators for AI workloads.

AMD's "Helios" rack-scale solutions are also powering gigawatts of data center compute. A key driver of investor confidence is AMD's warrant deal with Open AI, which allows Open AI to acquire 160 million shares at $0.01 per share if AMD's stock reaches $600 and Open AI deploys 6 gigawatts of AMD compute while meeting technical milestones. With AMD now above $600 and Open AI's GPT-6 "Astra" release advancing, the warrant could vest, granting Open AI nearly a 10% stake in AMD for just $1.6 million—representing a notional value of ~$100 billion.

This deal is being called one of the greatest in corporate history.
