Swansea City moved back into the automatic promotion places with a commanding 3-1 victory over Burnley at the Swansea Stadium. The win saw Vitor Matos' side level on points with West Ham at the top of the Championship table. Burnley, managed by Nicky Hayen, remained rooted to the bottom of the division after suffering their fourth defeat in seven league games.

Adam Idah opened the scoring in the 14th minute, exploiting hesitation from goalkeeper Max Weiss to slide into an empty net. Elijah Just then provided a moment of brilliance in the 33rd minute, leading a swift counterattack that saw Moussa Yeo finish clinically from the edge of the area.

Despite creating numerous chances, including an Aaron Ramsey effort saved by Lawrence Vigouroux, Burnley conceded a third goal five minutes after getting on the board. Largie Ramazani pulled one back in the 58th minute, but Zan Vipotnik restored Swansea's two-goal advantage with a late tap-in. Jamie Vardy made his Burnley debut as a substitute, having a goal ruled out for offside late on.
