Spain, reigning World Cup and European champions, face England at Wembley on Saturday with a history-making run of 38 matches unbeaten. Coach Luis de la Fuente, in his 50th match in charge, has suffered just two defeats.

The last time Spain fell from their throne was in 2014, crashing out of the World Cup group stage in Brazil. But Graham Hunter, embedded with Spain during their 2008-2012 golden era and their current run of three straight tournament wins, believes this generation won't suffer the same collapse.

Spain's challenge: winning the UEFA Nations League next summer, the 2028 European Championship, the 2029 Nations League, and the 2030 World Cup as co-hosts. Joan Capdevila, who played every minute at Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup, attributes the 2014 collapse to toxic Clásicos between Barcelona and Real Madrid and an expiring cycle under Vicente del Bosque.

Unlike predecessors Luis Aragonés and Del Bosque, who had all-time greats like Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, and Sergio Ramos, De la Fuente's squad lacks that star power but compensates with superior hunger, unity, and tournament mentality.
