The Connecticut Sun secured a 95-81 victory over the Toronto Tempo in their final game in Connecticut before relocating to Houston. The sellout crowd of 8,911 at Mohegan Sun Arena celebrated the franchise's 24-season history with joy and pride. Guard Ashlon Jackson scored the final points in franchise history, while Brittney Griner and Aaliyah Edwards highlighted the emotional farewell.

Team president Jen Rizzotti, a UConn legend, tearfully thanked fans for their unwavering support. The Sun, with only 10 wins on the season, chose pride over draft position. The franchise, purchased by the Mohegan Tribe in 2003, recorded 16 playoff berths and four Finals appearances.

Unlike previous relocations, the Sun's move to Houston under the Fertitta family was a drawn-out process, allowing for a proper commemoration of their legacy.
