Derrick Henry says he still loves the Tennessee Titans, but that won't stop him from trying to beat them on Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens running back faces his former team for the first time since leaving in 2024. Henry spent eight seasons with Tennessee, winning two rushing titles and earning NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2020. He is the franchise's second all-time leading rusher behind Eddie George.

Henry acknowledged the emotional weight of the reunion, saying it will be a "crazy moment" to play against the team that drafted him. He joined the Ravens on a two-year, $16 million deal in March 2024, after Tennessee made no attempt to keep him. Henry admitted it was "bittersweet" but knew the team was ready to move on. He said Baltimore was his top choice once he hit free agency.

Since joining the Ravens, Henry has led the NFL with 3,817 rushing yards and 38 rushing touchdowns. Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, a former teammate, said the key to stopping Henry is simple: "Hit his ass." Simmons noted that Henry doesn't try to run over defenders like Giants' Cam Skattebo, but you still need all 11 players to the ball.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said the game means a lot to Henry and his teammates want to win for him. Henry echoed that sentiment, saying there's "always love" for his old team, but not much on game day.
