Tennessee football paid tribute to Dolly Parton during its home opener against Furman, celebrating the iconic entertainer who died Aug. 25 at age 80 after a cancer diagnosis. Over 102,000 fans sang "I Will Always Love You" as tribute videos played during breaks. The "Pride of the Southland" marching band formed "Dolly" and performed "9 to 5," with fans clapping along.

Normally, Morgan Wallen's "The Way I Talk" closes fourth quarters at Neyland Stadium, but Tennessee switched to Parton's "My Tennessee Mountain Home," with lyrics displayed on screen. Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-9 victory over Furman.
