Packers running back Josh Jacobs' initial court appearance on misdemeanor charges has been moved up more than two months. Jacobs, charged with battery and criminal destruction of property, is now scheduled to appear Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. CT at the Brown County courthouse, after initially being set for Nov. 17, according to Wisconsin court records.

Messages left for the district attorney and Jacobs' lawyers seeking explanation for the date change have not been returned. The NFL placed Jacobs on the commissioner exempt list Sunday after charges were filed Aug. 27 stemming from a May 23 incident with a woman at his home near Green Bay.

According to the criminal complaint, there is surveillance video of the portion of the alleged incident that occurred in Jacobs' garage. The woman was trying to exit the garage when he "grabbed her and threw her to the ground and she struck her head, suffering an injury," per the complaint.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Tuesday the team has not seen the video, while the NFL would not say whether it has access, citing the ongoing investigation.
