RedCloud Capital, a Denver-based lower middle market private equity firm founded in 2004, has made a platform investment in APS Environmental Group, a Bedford, New Hampshire-based provider of environmental testing, inspection, consulting and abatement services. APS was founded in 2019 by John De George and has grown from a single-operator practice into a multi-state platform serving restoration firms, insurance carriers and general contractors. The company has facilities in New Hampshire and Maryland and employs 38 people.

De George will continue as founder and chief executive officer alongside the company’s broader management team. Red Cloud said it intends to support APS’s expansion into new markets, add capabilities, and pursue strategic add-on acquisitions in what it described as a highly fragmented market, while preserving the company’s existing service quality. Consilium Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to APS in the transaction.
