Abry Partners-backed Centauri Health Solutions has acquired Benny the Benefits Navigator, an Iowa-based technology company that streamlines the application process for Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance benefits. No financial terms were disclosed.

Benny was founded in 2024 by Jeremy Shapiro, James Vancel and Joel Segre and operates Get Benny.co, a platform that lets individuals, disability specialists, legal aid organizations and advocacy groups scale intake and application capacity for disability benefits. The acquisition adds Benny's conversational digital intake technology to Centauri's Member Connect disability eligibility solution, replacing static forms to improve application quality and reduce administrative burden.

"Benny's mission is to ensure those eligible for government benefits get the support they need to receive them," said Jeremy Shapiro, co-founder of Benny. Abry Partners, which has completed more than $90 billion of leveraged transactions since its founding in 1989, supported the acquisition as Centauri's lead investor. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal counsel to Centauri on the transaction.
