Main Capital Expands UK Presence; Clearlake Grows Chelsea FC Stake

Main Capital Partners has accelerated its UK expansion with a London office opening and two major investments: a majority stake in Orgvue, its first UK platform investment, and the acquisition of Tribal Group’s operating subsidiaries for approximately £189 million ($255 million; €221 million). Sjoerd Aarts, managing partner and head of Benelux and UK at Main, cited the UK’s mature software market and strong B2B foundation as key drivers. Meanwhile, Clearlake Capital has agreed to acquire Todd Boehly’s ownership stake in Chelsea Football Club.

In security deals, CVC DIF and Carlyle are acquiring Bau Watch from Haniel, while EQT’s Mid Market Europe fund has agreed to sell Ontinue, an AI-powered managed cybersecurity services provider focused on Microsoft architecture, to Quorum Cyber. Amundi also completed its acquisition of a 9.9% economic stake in ICG for approximately €620 million. Nordic investor Monterro announced plans to open its first UK office in London.
