Hg has agreed to take a majority stake in Enter Softone, a Greek ERP and business software provider, in a deal valuing the company at around €1 billion. The transaction marks Hg’s first investment in Greece. Existing shareholders Olympia Group and Imker Group will retain significant stakes alongside the management team, led by CEO Antonis Kotzamanidis.

Formed in 2025 through the merger of Entersoft and Softone, Enter Softone is headquartered in Athens and operates in Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus. Its product suite serves more than 90,000 clients across ERP, CRM, retail, warehouse management, e-commerce, HCM/payroll and electronic invoicing. The investment supports the company’s transition to the cloud, product innovation and expansion into neighboring markets.

Hg Catalyst, the firm’s in-house AI incubator, will help build new AI-powered products. The deal is driven by rapid digital adoption among Greek SMEs, fueled by mandatory B2B e-invoicing under the my DATA framework and broader EU VAT in the Digital Age reforms. Alexandre Flavier, partner at Hg, said the investment reflects confidence in the Greek market and a commitment to building an AI-enabled software champion in the region.

The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions.
