Ahead of Apple's "Surprise and shine" event on September 9, The MacRumors Show details expectations for at least six new products. The 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time keynote at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, marks the first since John Ternus succeeded Tim Cook as CEO on September 1. The Apple Watch Series 12 is expected to add a new chip, improved fitness tracking, better battery life, continuous heart-rate collection, and redesigned Health and Fitness experiences, with a possible ceramic case return in white or dark gray.

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 should receive similar upgrades plus expanded satellite connectivity features including satellite Apple Maps and photo sharing in Messages. AirPods 5 may launch in two versions with and without active noise cancellation, both using an H3 chip. The iPhone 18 Pro should retain the iPhone 17 Pro's design while gaining an A20 Pro chip on TSMC's 2nm process with RAM integrated on the same wafer, plus LTPO+ display, Samsung image sensor, simplified Camera Control, narrower Dynamic Island, 12GB RAM, 256GB base storage, and 5G satellite internet.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max adds larger batteries (5,391mAh in China, 5,567mAh in U.S.), potential variable-aperture main camera, and increased weight around 243 grams. The foldable iPhone Ultra is expected as the biggest announcement with 5.5-inch outer and 7.8-inch inner displays.
