Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming iOS 27.2 update to developers, a week after the first beta. Apple also seeded an iPadOS 27.2 beta. Registered developers can download by opting in under Settings > General > Software Update and selecting the iOS 27 developer beta.

iOS 27.2 includes Apple's redesigned Health app with new Insight and Longevity tabs, plus Siri AI in new languages. Apple releasing iOS 27.2 ahead of iOS 27.1 was a surprise, especially since the company plans to ship the iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1. Apple is likely holding iOS 27.1 until the Duo launches to keep features under wraps. iOS 27.1 adds updated app layouts and features for the iPhone Duo's two displays, including a vertical dock, vertical Dynamic Island, dual-screen app layouts, side-by-side multitasking, and exclusive Camera capabilities.

Since the iPhone Duo launches Friday, October 23 with iOS 27.1, Apple must release that update before then. iOS 27.2, with new Siri AI languages, will also launch in October.
