Tecno unveiled a bezel-less concept phone at IFA Berlin 2026, aiming for a 0mm display border. The device uses a dual-layer cover glass where the bottom layer wraps around the midframe to conceal inactive areas and black bezels. This required inverting the screen assembly process—inserting the module from the back—and a custom hot-melt adhesive to secure the front cover glass.

While apps and UI expand edge-to-edge for immersive viewing, minor black bars remain visible at the bottom edges. Compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s 1.36mm bezels, Tecno’s approach achieves near-zero bezels through advanced internal stacking, structural re-engineering, and novel screen packaging. Touch sensitivity and UI elements were reworked due to the lack of finger rest areas.

The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, feels slim and light, and shares design and hardware with the Tecno Camon Slim. As a concept, it signals potential future commercialization of 0mm bezel displays.
